Bob Christman has accepted the position of Deputy Superintendent for North Dakota Department of Public Instruction, effective January 2, 2013.

Bob Christman and Bob Marthaller, will be responsible for assisting the Superintendent in providing leadership to K-12 public schools in North Dakota, evaluating and communicating educational policy and vision to all North Dakota residents, overseeing the day-to-day operations of all facets of the Department of Public Instruction

Bob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and a Master’s degree in Agricultural Education from North Dakota State University in Fargo. Prior to accepting this position, he worked as senior policy analyst for Congressman Rick Berg, North Dakota Deputy Agriculture Commissioner and North Dakota Deputy Tax Commissioner.

Bob brings more than 25 years of executive-level leadership experience in directing, managing, supervising, leading and developing multiple programs with a proven track record of success. These skills and experience will be invaluable as we work together in meeting the departmental goals and objectives.
