North Dakota Proceeds with September 2012 Waiver Application Timeline

Bismarck, ND – The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction today announces that North Dakota will proceed with current efforts to develop an application to waive certain provisions of the No Child Left Behind Act and to submit this application to the U.S. Department of Education by September 6, 2012, pending the review of a state waiver planning committee and the approval of the State Superintendent. The state’s formal waiver application had been originally scheduled to be submitted by February 28, 2012.
