State Superintendent Announces Revised ESEA Flexibility Waiver Application
to go before Secretary Duncan and Executive Committee

            Bismarck, ND – Kirsten Baesler, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, announced today that the state’s flexibility waiver application of certain provisions of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) will be reviewed by U.S. Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, and the Executive Committee without North Dakota making any further revisions. The flexibility waiver application was originally submitted on September 6, 2012 with a revision submitted on December 27, 2012.
